Stopped in Mountain Home, Idaho to visit an old friend. Went to breakfast on his recommendation. Talk about a GREAT hometown diner! Service absolutely amazing. I felt like a local and had been friends with the staff for a lifetime. Food arrived QUICKLY, hot, fresh and absolutely delicious. I had the Manhattan Cafe version of a loco moco....just do it. You'll finish the entire plate, I don't care how full you are. I even complimented this place on their coffee! This cafe was arguably the CLEANEST restaurant I've ever eaten at and the hometown feel you get eating is worth experience alone! Definitely a must do when visiting this great little city.

First time customer & we were very pleased with our service. "I had the most incredible dining experience at this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious – every dish was perfectly prepared.Our server was super friendly helpful & attentive. I can't wait to come back and try more items from their menu. Definitely a new favorite spot!"

Cannot go wrong with this place. After work, this was the place we all showed up to. Food is cheap, delicious, and the staff is super friendly. Plus the people around are awesome.

I moved here 4 years ago and I love this place it's cozy and friendly and the food is great. The only things I don't like about it are things they can't do anything about like the noise level because nobody knows how to use their inside voice in this country and once you notice someone spouting their vitriol you can't ignore it. I don't know if the fire code says they can only have a certain amount of people in the building but seems like it could be rearranged to accommodate more people.

I love old fashioned breakfast joints .. and this one was so cool. Sat at the bar and the staff was extremely nice. The food was fantastic. My pancake was huge !! the bacon was thick cut and not over cooked unlike most breakfast places that usually come with crispy thin bacon. Overall experience was great. I live in Boise and was passing through but I’ll definitely be back next time an adventure takes me back this way

New to Mountain Home and OMG this place is the best. Breakfast and lunch all day and the food is amazing. There is history behind this place also and just it’s our go to spot for breakfast or early lunch. Love the cooks. The staff. The atmosphere, not to mention the best menu with delicious food. Highly recommend!!

Solid breakfasts, great service, and iconic location. This place was opened in 1913 - 111 years old! Ask to see an original menu and the book on tunnels - very interesting. I really enjoyed their chicken fried steak.
